Mount Bolster and Why it’s Important:

Mount Bolster is a multiplier that affects how strong the benefits you receive from you mount are. Mythic mounts give 10%, Legendary gives 5%, Epic gives 3%, Rare gives 2%, you get the idea. This means that it’s very important for you to upgrade mounts to Mythic as soon as possible, since increasing your mount bolster increases the stats you get from your mount’s Equip Power and the magnitude or percentage increases from your mount’s Combat Power. Which mounts you upgrade does matter, and you want to prioritize the mounts that have the Combat or Equip Powers that you’re using.

Note: In the picture above I have an Epic mount and a Legendary mount equipped in my stable but I still have 100% mount bolster. Mount bolster takes into account your top 10 highest rarity mounts, regardless of the ones that are equipped!

Mount Bonuses:

Mount insignia bonuses are the least impactful they have been in a long time. I strongly recommend slotting at least one Gladiator’s Guile mount. Most people like running two. I would also strongly recommend running a Wanderer’s Fortune mount if you’re a new or gearing player to help feed you refinement. The rest of your slots are best used as Warlord’s Inspiration‘s. If you don’t need the RP from Wanderer’s Fortune, use 2 Gladiator’s Guile, 3 Warlord’s Inspiration. If you need the RP go 1, 1, 3.

Combat and Equip Powers:

The new Noble Pegasus mount has an absolutely insane combat power. When clearing trash or in other AoE fights it will easily pull over 15% of my total DPS Output. It also buffs you, and your team with a 15% bonus to a stat they need based on their role. (ex. DPS get a 15% damage buff for 10s)

Magnificent Inspiration (The Noble Pegasus’s Combat Power) synergizes really well with any of our major AoE dailies, dropping MI into Soul Siphon in TIC is one of the most satisfying things I have ever experienced and I can clear pretty much any pull with this combo. Try it out for yourself if you can, you won’t be disappointed.


I am currently running random insignias just to make sure I get the mount bonuses I want. I will update this when I get a chance to min/max insignias once I get some of the various gear pieces that I am missing.

Until I get a chance to really min/max my insignias, prioritize stats you need to hit your stat caps. Insignias that give bonuses to Accuracy and Combat Advantage are very important as those are two of the harder stats to cap.

Additional Mounts to have:

Eclipse Lion: This mount is an excellent supportive choice for content like ToMM and Zariel, and works wonders in boss fights. A good mount for a healer, since a majority of DPS players should be using a Noble Pegasus.

Tenser’s Floating Disk: Tenser’s combat power is still very strong giving you a +15% damage and speed buff for 10 seconds. While not as team oriented as the Eclipse Lion or a Swarm, and not as good as the Pegasus, Tenser’s can be a good backup choice if someone else in your party will be running a Pegasus and a Lion, so you don’t waste buffs/debuffs.

Swarm: Although somewhat outshined by the newer Eclipse Lion that you can no longer get, Swarm is still a solid option for a supportive setup.

Any Tyrannosaur Mount: Just like Swarm one is needed in every party to run hard content optimally. King of Spines, Commander Tyrannosaur, and the Warpainted Tyrannosaur are some of the mounts that have this Combat Power.

Mount Collars:

Only one Mount Collar can be equipped from each category. This means that you can only have one Practical, Sturdy, Supportive, Unified, and one Wayfaring collar equipped at a time. Honestly I’m unsure if you can equip multiple Wayfaring collars for example, but I know for sure they will not stack so there’s no reason to do so. Below I will recommend what collars you should be using for each category.

Wayfaring: Wayfaring Barbed Collar: +5% Crit Severity (at max rank)

Unified: Unified Regal Collar: +5% Incoming Healing Bonus

Supportive: Supportive Regal Collar: 5% Outgoing Healing Bonus for heal mains and people who occasionally heal, Supportive Crescent Collar: 5% Stamina Gain for pure DPS players.

Sturdy: Sturdy Barbed Collar: +5% At-will Damage

Practical: This one is entirely personal choice. In my opinion, this collar is the least impactful no matter which you choose, seeing as the only options aren’t focused on combat.
